Swinburne Advanced Apprenticeships Pilot - EOI
Swinburne has been selected by the Australian Government, Department of Education, Skills and Employment to run a Pilot Project on Advanced Apprenticeships, focussing on Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
The Advanced Apprenticeship Pilot is for SMEs to either:
a) Hire a new apprentice (or more), or
b) Re-train and upskill existing staff
This project is for 2 years, the Advanced Apprentices complete an Associate Degree of Applied Technologies, specialising in Advanced Manufacturing, with the majority of the training happening in the workplace, online and on-campus, where necessary. Assessments in the course are aligned to workplace-based problems or opportunities.
The project covers the fees for the students and there is a employer incentive attached the project for each year of the project.
Swinburne are looking for Manufacturing and related field SMEs to join the project, course commencing in September, with student selection in August.
The Course Overview
The Associate Degree of Applied Technologies will teach you cutting-edge technical engineering, project management, innovation, problem-solving and facilitation skills, equipping you to develop solution to real-word problems based on the Industry related projects.
You will learn how to implement cyber physical systems using digital twin, artificial intelligence, Augmented Reality, mobile devices, cloud computing, CAD\CAM, advanced programming, analytics, electronics, automation and robotics, cyber-security, networking and Industrial Internet of Things.
