Ecotech acquires Alstom's chemistry and environmental business

Ecotech, a global leader in environmental monitoring, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Alstom's Chemistry and Environmental (C&E) business in Queensland.

With over 35 years' experience in environmental monitoring, the recent acquisition is an integral part of the company's growth strategy. A family business, established in 1976, Ecotech now operates the largest network of monitoring systems in the southern hemisphere. As a leading manufacturer of environmental monitoring equipment, Ecotech is exporting equipment to over 70 countries including Asia, North and South America, Africa, China and Europe.

"We are continuously growing our business and this acquisition will enable more opportunities in Queensland," said Nicholas Dal Sasso, Managing Director.

With an annual revenue of over $25M, the company employs over 100 staff across its head office in Melbourne and state offices in NSW, QLD and WA. Existing Ecotech staff currently based at the Brendale office will be relocating to the former Alstom office at Murarrie, Brisbane in April.

"This is an excellent strategic fit for Ecotech as it provides complementary services and expands on our existing core business," said Nicholas Dal Sasso.
