For the past few months, we visited retailers to provide free professional window cleaning across 8 retail centres:

  • Scoresby Shopping Village
  • Knoxfield Shopping Village
  • Mountain Gate Shopping Centre
  • Alchester Village Shopping Centre
  • Wantirna Mall Shopping Centre
  • Boronia shopping areas


Professional window cleaning has helped businesses enhance their shopfront presentation, attract more customers, and uplift the local streetscape.

Free Business Renewable Buying Group webinar

Knox City Council are helping medium to large businesses, transition to renewable energy by establishing the Business Renewable Buying Group.

Businesses interested in renewable energy are invited to a free webinar on 23 June. In Knox, the industrial sector accounts for 50% of total emissions in our community. As part of our Climate Response Plan, we are providing various initiatives to help this sector lower their emissions.

Energy Savers: Making Energy Efficiency Easy

Business Energy Savers are helping businesses to upgrade appliances and lights with Government subsidies.

Businesses located in participating Council areas can register with Energy Savers to receive free advice about how to become more energy efficient and take advantage of the Victorian Government’s Energy Upgrade initiative. 

We connect Business Owners with a selected panel of accredited and trustworthy suppliers who can take care of the upgrades and required paperwork to access the subsidies.

Free Outdoor Activation Resources

As a part of our Outdoor Activation Projects, Knox Council is giving out (via order form) resources to attract customers to retail centres. 
Resources available to businesses include:

  • fairy lights (box of 500)
  • hand sanitiser stands, and
  • graffiti removal kits. 

The Economic Development team have plenty of stock for businesses.
