Knox City Council FREE business grant writing and budgeting workshop

Knox City Council is hosting a FREE online Grants Writing workshop facilitated by Debby Maziarz for local businesses Wednesday 14 August, 6pm to 8pm. 

Build your understanding of what is required to successfully apply for grants. This workshop will focus on transforming your ideas into fundable concepts and will walk you step by step through the grant making process including a deep dive into the budget.

  • Getting ‘grant ready’ 
  • Where to find the money 
  • Introduction to the grant making cycle 
  • Writing a killer 50-word grab

Enrolling for council elections

The next council election is on 26 October 2024. Find out if you need to enrol to vote.Those on the state roll will automatically be enrolled to vote in the council elections. If you need to check or update your state enrolment details, visit vec.vic.gov.au/enrolment.

This election, the rules have changed for some other categories of voters.People who own property in Knox but live elsewhere need to apply online to Council if they want to vote. Ratepayers who are not Australian citizens, those who pay rates on a property they occupy but don’t own, and a director or secretary of a corporation that pays rates can also apply to vote.

It is not compulsory for you to enrol with council to vote. However, if you are eligible and decide to enrol as a council-enrolled voter, voting is compulsory in the election. Council enrolment closes at 4pm, Wednesday 7 August.

Knox Inaugural Business Awards 2024

Business Awards

The Knox Business Network, supported by the Rotary Club of Rowville-Lysterfield, welcomes you to our first-ever Knox Business Awards.This is an opportunity for those businesses in Knox to be recognised for their efforts in the revival.

Entries are free and are open for all those businesses in the Knox district until the close of business on 31st August 2024. The finalists for the awards will be judged in the following months by independent judges with the winners announced upon completion of the judging. Final dates will be announced when known, closer to the event.
