National Tree Day - Corporate Planting - POSTPONED

23 Jul 2021 10:00am

Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. We hope to reschedule National Tree Day in the future.

Corporate National Tree Day is a great Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunity for all businesses, large and small.  Join us for planting, a nature walk and networking with like-minded businesses.

National Tree Day, proudly sponsored by Toyota Australia, was co-founded in 1996 by Planet Ark and Olivia Newton-John. It has now grown in to Australia's largest community tree planting and nature protection event. Planet Ark is asking Australians to help us plant one million new native trees and shrubs across the country.

National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community. Each year, about 300,000 people volunteer their time to engage in environmental activities that educate individuals about the world around them. It's a day to venture outdoors and get to know your community, and most importantly, to have fun! (

This is a great opportunity to network with like-minded businesses, spend time outdoors with colleagues and contribute to the local environment and community.

  • All businesses are welcome, you do not have to be located in Knox to attend.
  • This is a free event.
  • All tools will be supplied on the day, you do not need to bring anything except your own gardening gloves.
  • Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather (warm clothing and sturdy footwear are essential).

Bring along a banner or sign to display and promote your business at the planting site on the day!

Located between a prominent industrial precinct and residential area, this site is classified as a site of Biological Significance and has substantial remnant trees.  This planting event is an opportunity to enhance the existing habitat corridor by planting species which will form the missing parts of the canopy, lower storey and mid-storey vegetation.  The vegetation will establish a linear habitat corridor, providing a direct link to Llewellyn Reserve and the Blind Creek corridor in the north and Ferntree Gully in the south, creating habitat to support local wildlife.

So rally your colleagues and join us for this year’s Corporate National Tree Day planting!
